BT #1 - Why you should get a domain name!

Your blog can be as pretty, and well written as they come, but not having a domain name can seriously stunt the growth of your traffic! Trying to remember a long cumbersome url is hard, and axing off that pesky blogspot.com is easy! Here's some reasons why I recommend purchasing a domain, and then some tips on how to do so!

1. SLEEK & PROFESSIONAL

Having a short and easy to remember url helps your blog to have an overall look of professionalism . Think of it as taking off your coat, and making yourself at home. It shows you're serious about this and you want to show it off!

2.officially own a slice of the internet

If you ever tire of the xox's or just want to re brand, you can easily buy a new domain name and change your whole site, where as if you stay with your xoxilovecakexox.blogspot.com address... there isn't much room for improvement!

3. it's really not as hard as it sounds

When I first decided to purchase a domain name for my beauty blog I wondered just how hard it would be to link up to blogger, and was pleasantly surprised. I have always bought my domains from GoDaddy.com (I find .co.uk to be the cheapest here!) and from there it was plain sailing, just seeing your new name pop up when you refresh gives you a whole new boost of blogging fever and make you feel oh so important!
